Meet the Staff of Approved Auto Sales

Porter is what most of my friends and family call me, but I also go by Jason. I was born in Colorado, raised in Oklahoma, and planted roots in Kansas. After graduating from Turpin High School I played football at the Panhandle State University, then transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma to study business management. I started my career and home in Garden City in my early 20’s in the car industry and realized that I am a car guy through and through! My daughter, Kaylee, now 15, still captures my heart with her smile and awesome sense of humor. Through a car sale to a local pastor I met my wife on a blind date at Huber’s Café on a Tuesday afternoon. We were married four months later and just celebrated our 10 year Anniversary. I have been building relationships and selling vehicles in the Garden City community and the tri-state area for 20 years. Starting J&J Autoplex with my wife, Jacque, and my mother, Elaine Barber, has been a dream come true! I feel truly blessed and am thankful for the great people I have met and established wonderful relationships over the years through this industry and community. Hallie Elaine Estep is where it all began. I was born in Texas and later moved to Colorado, in which I graduated from Springfield High School. I was blessed with two children, Jason and Leslie Porter, and three beautiful grandchildren Kain, Kasidy, and Kaylee. After meeting the love of my life, Mike Barber, I moved to Garden City, KS. After 35 years in the medical field, I have transitioned to something new for myself, the car industry. Being on the management team for Dr. Micheal Baughman, I learned the value of correctly and morally running a successful business. In the honor of my late husband Micheal C. Barber, he has provided me the opportunity to pursue this dream. I am so excited to join J&J Auotplex team.
